Hatha yoga is a form of yoga originating from India. It means “yoga of tenacity” or “yoga of the strongest will” and is mainly concerned with spiritual awakening by the execution of correct postures (āsana), disciplined breathing (prāṇāyāma) and deep meditation (dhyāna). It finds its origin in ancient texts, such as Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
Hatha-yoga, by the precise and rhythmic practice of postures, allows the practitioner to control his body and his senses. These postures are a sequence varying from the very simple to the more complex in terms of execution.
Finally, there are different levels of Hatha-yoga ranging from beginner to more experienced. The Centre is open to all practitioners.
